Inclement Weather Information and Tracking

The Kaiserman JCC uses Perry Weather as our official lightning monitoring system to help keep our members, guests, and staff safe.

• When lightning is detected within a 10-mile radius of the JCC, the green “Clear” status will change to a red countdown timer.
• A red countdown timer means our outdoor pools and outdoor programs are temporarily closed due to nearby lightning.
• The countdown shows the time remaining until our outdoor pools and outdoor programs may reopen. If additional lightning is detected within the 10-mile radius while the countdown is running, the timer will automatically reset to 30 minutes.
• Once the countdown reaches 0:00 and no additional lightning has been detected, our outdoor pools and outdoor programs may reopen, provided there are no other weather or safety concerns.

The Perry Weather tracker reflects lightning-related closures only. Our outdoor pools and programs may also close due to other weather or safety conditions, such as heavy rain, poor visibility, high winds, or other hazardous conditions. Any additional closures will be communicated by the JCC as needed.
