Susan is an oncology social worker at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, currently supporting the Retinoblastoma, Cancer Survivorship, and Cancer Predisposition teams. Prior to this role, she was a social worker with the Neuro-oncology team. Her work with CHOP began as the first person to hold the role of Oncology Patient Resource Navigator. Before beginning her career at CHOP, she worked for The Collaborative (now Tribe 12) and in the NY office of Hadassah/Young Judaea.
Susan has been working with oncology camps since she was 14, and knows the life changing magic they bring to campers, staff, and volunteers alike. She is thrilled to be a part of bringing Sunrise Day Camp to the Kaiserman JCC.
Susan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with her Masters of Social Work and Masters in Human Sexuality Education from Widener University, and Bachelors in Women and Gender studies and Anthropology from Washington University in St Louis.
