Assistant Teacher, Toddler Three
Hi! My name is Stephon Freeman. This will be my fifth year working at the JCC. I’m very excited for my first year as an assistant teacher in the preschool. Before I was offered this wonderful opportunity, I worked with the Kids Time program as well as the Camp Kef summer program. I am a communications major studying at Saint Joseph’s University. I specify in graphic design and music.
Teaching and assisting in a classroom is something that runs in my family. My grandmother was a teacher for most of her life. She began in highschool and then worked her way up to the college level. My mother was a teacher for 15 years at the Gesu School. Like myself, she started in preschool and worked her way to fifth grade. She then became the dean of students at the Gesu school. Now she works with families of students who attend the Cristo Rey Highschool of Philadelphia. I say this to say that I am very excited for MY TURN! I look forward to applying all of my experience and knowledge to ensure a wonderful year at the JCC.
