After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a major in event and hospitality management, she moved to Birmingham to serve as the community youth coordinator and assistant camp director at the Levite Jewish Community Center (LJCC). Over the next eight years her many hats included serving as camp director and, most recently, as community engagement director. She also served as the assistant games director for the 2017 JCC Maccabi Games hosted by Birmingham. In summer 2023 she co-led the LJCC’s team of teens who participated in the JCC Maccabi Games in Israel. Having grown up in Lehigh Valley, Katie is excited to be back in Pennsylvania after 16 years away from home. Although her time in the south taught her to be an avid college football fan, she is enjoying once again cheering on the Eagles. Go Birds! Katie brings a strong commitment to fostering community engagement and enriching summer programs, and is excited to contributing to the growth of Camp Kef and enhancing the overall summer experience for all our campers.
