Jill comes to the JCC board from Golden Slipper Gems where she most recently served as Chairperson. One of Jill’s passions while serving as an officer of Gems was to stimulate the intellectual growth and development of the older adult community. Jill comes to the JCC with much experience in Jewish non-profit. She is a past President of Main Line Reform Temple and the creator of the early childhood education program, which is now in its 40th year.
During Jill’s tenure at Golden Slipper Gems, she worked for 30 years as the Reading Specialist at Coopertown Elementary School, part of the Haverford School District. Her dedication and expertise in that position resulted in some of the highest test scores in reading in the Commonwealth. Prior to her work at Coopertown Elementary, she created curriculum in Economic Education and was the recipient of the Malcolm Forbes Award for Educators’ Economic education while teaching at Methacton School District’s gifted program.
Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, Ed, and their children and grandchildren. She loves to travel, read, exercise, and play canasta.
