Eli Klein

Board Member

Eli is currently an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware. Prior to his current position, Eli was a prosecutor with the Philadelphia DA’s Office. Eli began his career as a litigator with the law firm, Morgan Lewis and also clerked for a federal judge in Philadelphia. He graduated from Cornell in 2009 and Penn Law in 2014. Prior to law school, he worked for Teach for America in Miami, Florida as a math teacher and baseball coach.  Notwithstanding Eli’s failed high school and collegiate basketball career, he cites the Kaiserman JCC’s gym as the location of some of his proudest athletic achievements growing up.  Prior to joining the JCC Board, Eli served on boards of other regional non-profits, including Graduate! Philadelphia, Community Legal Services (Justice Rising Advocates), and the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.Eli and his wife, Heather, have one son, Cameron, who attends preschool at the J, and every day talks about how much he loves “my JCC.”  Eli is excited to serve “his JCC” as a Board Member.
