Dear Friends,
As the holidays approach this coming week, we’re filled with gratitude for the vibrant Kaiserman JCC community and the connections we’ve built together. We’re excited for all the opportunities the coming year will bring, including another unforgettable summer at Camp Kef.
This summer, I’m thrilled to announce an exciting new adventure: Moana Theatre Camp! I’ve even teamed up with Moana herself (check out the photo proof above of my daring voyage!) to invite your children to join us for this magical experience. From June 23 to July 11, in partnership with Music Theatre Philly, campers in grades 1–6 will bring Moana Junior to life on stage.
Over three weeks, our campers will star in a theatrical performance while building sets, crafting costumes, and learning acting skills. Each day will start with Camp Kef songs and cheers, followed by rehearsals and themed activities. And of course, they’ll still enjoy swimming and can rejoin regular Camp Kef fun after the program. Like Moana venturing beyond the reef, our campers will explore creativity, teamwork, and confidence through music, dance, and storytelling. It’s going to be an adventure they’ll never forget!
We’re also excited to invite you to our Camp Kef Family Day and Open House on Sunday, January 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Bring your family and friends to reconnect with summer buddies, enjoy games, songs, and a mini bounce house, and learn all about what Camp Kef has to offer. This event is a wonderful opportunity for prospective campers to meet our team and experience the joy of camp. Plus, it’s a fundraiser to support the incredible experiences we provide for our campers. Admission is $36 per family.
In other exciting news, we’re launching a new Sports Specialty Camp for elementary and middle schoolers on the beautiful campus of Barrack Hebrew Academy. Stay tuned for more details—we can’t wait to share more about this thrilling program soon!
As we gear up for another amazing summer at Camp Kef and the Kaiserman JCC, we want to thank you for being part of our incredible community. Wishing you and your loved ones a season filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.
Shabbat Shalom,
Katie
