As the back-to-school season approaches, we are excited to announce the launch of our School Supply Donation Drive in collaboration with Pass4Kids and KleinLife’s Grow Hope initiative. For the next month, we invite you to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of Ukrainian refugee students right here in our community.
The ongoing crisis in Ukraine has led to the displacement of thousands of families, and many have found their way to our city. Among them are young students who have experienced the trauma of war and upheaval. We believe that education is a powerful tool for empowerment and stability, and that’s why we’re focused on providing essential school supplies to these young learners.
How can you help? We have two convenient ways to contribute to this meaningful cause!
- In-Person Donations: Drop off brand-new #2 pencils and or college / wide ruled spiral notebooks in the yellow Pass4Kids donation bin, found in the main lobby of the J.
- Donate Online: If you prefer to support financially, you can do so easily online. Your monetary contribution will be used to purchase the necessary school supplies. Visit us at phillyjcc.com/growhope to donate online.
Partnership Spotlight:
- KleinLife Grow Hope has been providing a lifeline to Ukrainian refugees, offering programming, resources, and a summer camp experience that brings smiles and a sense of normalcy to the lives of these children. Your support will contribute to their ongoing efforts to “Grow Hope” for our Ukrainian friends and neighbors.
- Pass4Kids, known for its commitment to providing footwear to children in need, has expanded its efforts to include school supplies for Ukrainian refugee children.
Together, we can create a better world for these students as they strive to build a brighter future through education.
