Dear Friends,
Beep, beep, beep! Our J on the Way van has finally arrived, after some remodeling and wrapping, and is officially ready to hit to road – bringing JCC programming beyond our campus!
This project could not have been completed without the generosity of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and their support in Jewish programming throughout the area. We are so grateful to be a part of their investment in growing Jewish communities such as West Philadelphia and Delaware County with an incredible grant for our J on the Way program.
J on the Way is designed for new parents and young families. Leading the initiative is Barrie Mittica, our Director of Engagement. She plays a pivotal role in creating innovative Jewish programs and new ways for folks to get involved. Barrie takes the J on the Way van to parks with a monthly Shabbat in the Park program, farmers markets, and to all sorts of community events in the Philadelphia and Delaware County areas!
The expansion of Jewish programming beyond our campus here at the Kaiserman JCC, demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that more individuals and families can actively participate in their Jewish heritage and community. This investment not only strengthens Jewish identity but also fosters meaningful connections and cultivates thriving Jewish communities in these areas.
We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to expand Jewish programming and engage new parents and young families in the region. Connect with Barrie and contribute your ideas! You can be a part of shaping the future of these Jewish programs and making a positive impact on the community.
Shabbat Shalom,
Alan
