Meet Diller Teen Fellow, Meredith Seidman

I am thrilled to introduce Meredith Seidman, one of this past year’s remarkable participants of the Philadelphia’s Diller Teen Fellows program. Meredith’s journey through Diller and her dedication to making a positive impact in the world has been so inspiring to watch.

As Meredith embarks on her next adventure with the Leaders for Tomorrow program, I have no doubt she will continue to shine. We are so proud to have played a part in her journey, and look forward to witnessing her future successes!

Hello everyone! My name is Meredith Seidman, and this month I’ll be graduating from the 6th Cohort of Philadelphia’s Diller Teen Fellows program. Following the conclusion of the fellowship, I will be participating in the Philadelphia branch of the Leaders for Tomorrow program that the American Jewish Committee runs. The Leaders for Tomorrow, or LFT, program focuses on teaching American Jewish high school students about fighting antisemitism, dealing with anti-Israel hate, and connecting them with political officials in order to discuss these issues. My time in the Diller Teen Fellows program has taught me so much about Tikkun Olam, leadership, and Israel, and I knew that participating in the LFT program would be the best next step in order to continue my journey of becoming a Jewish leader and change maker.

The Diller Teen Fellows program has taught me about how to use my Jewish identity to change the world, even as a teenager. One of the many impactful parts of the program has been learning about and being able to participate in local tikkun olam projects. Being a Jewish leader and change-maker means incorporating Jewish values in my life and using them to benefit others. Having gone through the Diller program, I will be able to take these values that I have learned with me when I start the LFT program this fall.

I am so excited to start this new program and am so grateful for all the opportunities and experiences that the Diller Teen Fellows program has given me!
