As summer fades and the school year kicks into gear, we’re thrilled to welcome all our students, families, and staff back to the Kaiserman JCC! The start of a new academic year is always a time of energy, excitement, and new beginnings. We’re here to ensure that your children have a vibrant, enriching experience both in and out of school.
Our KidsTime Afterschool Program is the perfect solution for families seeking a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for their children in grades K-5. With over 30 years of experience, KidsTime was voted the best after-school care provider 2 years in a row by The Jewish Exponent, offering inquiry-based and child-driven activities that support physical, social, and emotional development for children in in Lower Merion. Each day includes transportation from school to the JCC, supervised homework time, a healthy snack, and a variety of club activities like arts & crafts, sports, and cooking. We’re also exploring transportation home at the end of the day, making it even more convenient for busy families.
After-School Enrichment Classes: In addition to our KidsTime program, we’re excited to offer a variety of after-school enrichment classes for kids ages 2 through 7th grade on the Main Line that cater to a wide range of interests:
- Cooking with Chef Dad’s Table: Learn to prepare traditional holiday recipes and new favorites while completing a meaningful Mitzvah Project focused on food insecurity. Classes open to ages 3 through grade 5, and are perfect for both beginners and returning students.
- Taekwondo with Wandering Fighter: Open to students in kindergarten through grade 5, our Taekwondo program offers benefits like increased discipline, strength, coordination, and focus. Students can even test for their next color belt at the end of each session!
- Junior Pickleball with Universal Rackets: Designed for grades 1-5, this clinic introduces the basics of pickleball with interactive drills and mini-games. It’s a great way for young athletes to build confidence and enjoy the game.
- Soccer Shots®: Our engaging soccer program with classes for ages 2-8 is developmentally appropriate and led by the best coaches in the business. Children will develop soccer skills, build character, and most importantly, have fun!
- Fencing Academy of Philadelphia: We are the proud home of the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia Main Line. More information about their offerings can be found here.
- Stay Tuned for More!: We’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be offering after-school art classes for elementary students in partnership with Main Line Art. More details will be shared soon, so stay tuned!
We’re also excited to offer a fantastic selection of classes for preteens and teens! Whether they’re interested in joining our new cheerleading and gymnastics program, exploring the world of Jewish-themed Dungeons & Dragons (November 3), or participating in the Jared Armstrong 3v3 Basketball 5-week League, we have something for everyone. These programs are designed to help older kids and teens stay active, build skills, and connect with their peers in a supportive environment.
