Dear Friends,
Last week in this forum we announced several exciting initiatives in celebration of the Kaiserman JCC’s 50th Anniversary, including L’chaim — a Toast to the Kaiserman J’s 50th: We shared the hope that many of you might join us to raise a glass to the JCC’s legacy of impact and hear more about our vision for the future on December 15.
We also shared that we had adopted a strategic plan that embodies that vision, and our new and expanded board leadership are excited to make it a reality. It won’t happen overnight – it will take effort, investment, and perseverance. As they say, we’re in a marathon, not a sprint. In that spirit, we are kicking off a fundraising campaign for the future with my running the Philadelphia Marathon this coming Sunday to help catalyze the initiative. I invite you to get involved today in several ways:
- Donate to my marathon fundraising page! We are kicking off the campaign with a goal of $5,000 in crowdfunding. Help us achieve the goal as I do the same with my second Philadelphia Marathon.
- Donate to our Giving Tuesday campaign. Thanks to the generosity of matching donors, each Giving Tuesday pledge will be matched dollar for dollar.
- Consider making a larger gift: We are launching a special group of individuals, families and stakeholders committed to ensuring our ambitious goals become a reality. The 51st Society – this group personifies our strategic plan, committing to several years of funding the JCC beyond simply this 50th year.
Running a marathon requires several elements: A goal. A plan. The commitment to follow through. We look forward to having many of you join us on this journey, beginning this month. Take the first step with us today.
Shabbat Shalom,
Alan
