Yiddish dance offers many joyful and playful ways to dance to klezmer music: in a line, a circle, with a partner, or on your own. Join Miryam Coppersmith to learn about the history of “dancing Jewish,” explore the different rhythms and dances of Eastern Europe, and get moving! Miryam is passionate about dancing being accessible for all and will offer modifications for mobility and accessibility needs. This gems-sponsored class series is open to adults and teens of all ages.

Our Yiddish dance class is accompanied by klezmer’s finest; Susan Watts on trumpet and Steve Rice on accordion. Together, live and in person, these dynamic klezmorim will lay down the klezmer grooves for the Yiddish dances!
