As this school year comes to a close, we find ourselves at a bittersweet moment. Today, we reflect on and celebrate the incredible contributions of three remarkable teachers who are moving on to new chapters in their lives: Sandy Kassie, Maria Voight, and Lesley Gotlib.
Sandy has been a cherished member of our team for the past 26 years. Sandy’s warmth, kindness, and sense of humor have created a classroom environment where learning is not just a task but an enjoyable adventure. Her students leave her classroom with more than just academic skills; they leave with a love for learning. Sandy has a unique gift for making each child feel safe, appreciated, and celebrated for who they are. Her extraordinary ability has earned her a special place in the hearts of generations of students. Sandy, thank you for the years of laughter and for turning education into a joyful experience for so many. We will miss the wacky world of Sandy as you move on to work in your family’s business. Maria’s journey with us began 30 years ago. From the moment she stepped into our classrooms, Maria brought an unwavering dedication to nurturing young minds. It’s incredible to think of the countless memories and milestones Maria created over the decades, profoundly impacting the lives of so many children and their families. Maria’s ability to see each child’s unique potential and her commitment to helping them flourish left an indelible mark on our community. Thank you for your incredible service and the lasting legacy you leave behind. We wish you all the best in your retirement.
Lesley is also set to embark on a well-deserved retirement. For the past 10 years, Lesley has been the heart and soul of our K2 class. Her nurturing spirit, boundless creativity, and unwavering commitment to her students have made an indelible impact on countless young lives. Lesley guided children with patience, kindness, and an infectious enthusiasm for learning. Her ability to connect with each child and make them feel special is a gift that cannot be measured. Lesley laid a strong foundation for their educational journey, instilling in them a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
