Big news on the JCC Maccabi Games® front!
First, for those who have not heard, the JCC Maccabi Games are back this summer, for the first time since the pandemic began! Our Philadelphia delegation is thrilled to be rejoining the world’s largest Jewish teen sports experience! The games will be held this summer in San Diego. Upwards of 1,500 participants are expected in the Olympic-style experience. Team Philly will compete in boys and girls basketball, soccer, ice hockey, swimming, tennis, and dance. Tryouts have already begun! For those interested in joining the competition – act quickly! You can also find more information below. We anticipate bringing a strong squad who will more than live up to our incredible reputation.
Speaking of which…
…For the first time, the Kaiserman JCC will be celebrating the past richness of our delegation by creating a Philadelphia Maccabi Hall of Fame this Summer. 2022 will mark our inaugural year, during which we will honor past players, coaches, and teams who epitomized the spirit of the JCC Maccabi Games, and the best of our proud Team Philadelphia tradition.
Look out for much more information about this in the coming weeks. For now, mark your calendars for June 16, when we will hold our first induction ceremony that evening at the JCC. All of our alumni, and community, are invited to celebrate this exciting milestone.
