Dear Friends,
Purim is almost here, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at Purim Fest ’25 on Sunday, March 9, from 11 AM – 3 PM at the Kaiserman JCC! This holiday is all about joy, community, and, of course, a little bit of silliness – so bring your family, dress in your favorite costumes, and get ready for an unforgettable day of fun.
Purim is one of the most festive holidays in the Jewish calendar, commemorating the story of Queen Esther, who courageously saved the Jewish people from Haman’s wicked plot. It’s a time for laughter, generosity, and togetherness, celebrated with four special mitzvot: hearing the Megillah (the story of Purim), sharing gifts of food (mishloach manot), giving to those in need (matanot l’evyonim), and enjoying a joyous meal (se’udah). And of course, no Purim celebration is complete without hamantaschen, groggers, and a whole lot of fun!
At Purim Fest, you and your family can enjoy:
- Juggling, Clowning & Balloon Twisting
- Mitzvah Clown Storytime
- Music & Games with the Israeli Scouts
- Face Painting & Purim Crafts
- Bounce Houses & Inflatable Obstacle Course
- Carnival Games & Gaga Tournament
- Hamantaschen Making
- Costume Parade
- Sensory Corner
- Game Room for Older Children
We’re thrilled to be joined by many local community partners, who will help bring even more excitement, activities, and opportunities to connect with our vibrant Jewish community.
We are also pleased to offer complimentary tickets for our Friends of the J. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Friend of the J, click here.
We hope you’ll join us for a day filled with laughter, fun, and meaningful traditions. Learn more and register today!
Shabbat Shalom,
Barrie
