Dear Friends,
Each morning this week as I woke up, the sun has been shining and the birds are chirping. It reminds me that spring will soon be here, and we can finally put the winter behind us.
There’s another reason the arrival of Spring excites me. Spring means it’s time for Purim, one of my personal favorite holidays of the year. As we all look to brighter (and perhaps, “more normal”) times ahead on this sunny Friday, the Purim story helps to put us in a certain frame of mind: one of celebration, rejuvenation and resoluteness.
I think of Queen Vashti, who asserted her right to say no. I think of Mordecai, who stood by his beliefs. I think of Queen Esther, whose noble risks saved the Jewish people in Persia.
Purim is such a wonderful time, and the best news is that this year, we are celebrating together once again. The Kaiserman JCC, along with all our wonderful partners, are so excited to welcome back the community into our building for Purim Fest ’22, this Sunday, March 13th. Purim Fest ‘22 isn’t your average Purim carnival. There will be the opportunity to star in your own Purim spiel. We’ll have acrobats flipping down the hallways, moon bounces, obstacle courses, crafts a plenty and much, much more.
Pre-registration is requested for Purim Fest ’22, but we will be accepting walk-ins. Sign up now and join us for all the fun. We can’t wait to see you this weekend.

Shabbat Shalom,
Barrie Mittica
