JCC Covid Protocols

Current Covid-19 Guidelines

Covid-19 mitigation strategies are determined by Kaiserman senior staff, taking into account guidance from our Covid Advisory Committee, the Centers for Disease Control, the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, and most importantly the county’s current COVID-19 Community Level. Please note: The current Community Level is Low.

Masking

At this level, masks are no longer required in indoor settings for individuals who are healthy and who are not caring for someone who is at higher risk for severe COVID-19. However, individuals who are at higher risk for severe COVID-19 and those caring for others at higher risk should consult with a healthcare provider about masking and appropriate mitigation strategies.

Vaccinations

Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 remains the best way to avoid serious illness and hospitalization. The Montgomery County Office of Public Health website details where and how to get vaccinated. All eligible Montgomery County residents are urged to get a booster dose as soon as they are eligible.
The JCC requires staff to be vaccinated.
The JCC strongly encourages all children who are eligible to be vaccinated.

Covid-19 Exposures

People with Covid:
Must stay home for 5 days. They can return after 5 days if they are symptom free and either mask well for an additional 5 days OR test negative every other day for 5 additional days.
Close contacts:
Close contacts are not required to stay home unless they have symptoms. If they are symptom free, they can come to the JCC and either mask for 5 days from the day of exposure OR test negative every other day for 5 days from the day of exposure.

Test-to-stay

People who tested positive for Covid-19 can come to the JCC if they are symptom free, have isolated for 5 days and test negative with a rapid COVID-19 test every other day for 5 days after the isolation period.

Close contacts of individuals with Covid-19 can come to the JCC if they are symptom free and test negative with a rapid COVID-19 test every other day for 5 days after exposure.
