Your hub for lifelong engagement

Gems, founded in 1995, began by operating a senior center in the Pavilion, providing services to low-income older adults. In 2008, Gems took over the older adult program at Kaiserman JCC, later moving it to Adath Israel. In 2014, they expanded to Federation Housing. Recently, Gems joined forces with the JCC, bringing new staff members and board members on board. This partnership strengthens both organizations, enhancing our programs and community impact. We thank Golden Slipper, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and our supporters for making this alliance possible, positioning us as a leading institution serving Jewish older adults in the region.

Gems at the J is transitioning to our new registration system, Amilia, for all classes beginning after November 1. If you are looking for a program that is not listed in Amilia please click here to view our old system.

As a part of the registration process, you will be required to create an Amilia username and password the first time you are registering for a program.
